Is Fundraising Compulsory?
No it is not
Is there an age limit?
There is no upper age limit
Patrick Barnes came to Tough Guy® when he was 84 as a walking legend.
Lower age limit is 18 on event day. 16,17 may run but must be acompanied by Parent/Guardian
The risks are too great to allow younger. There are now Tough Guy® Ten to Teens Screwball events especially designed for young body tolerance.

How many do I need for a Team?
For mixed or all male teams, 8 members is required to compete in team trophy contests.
For an all ladies team, a minimum of 5 members are required.

(10th Entry of Team Captain Free)
What is the maximum number of entries?
Numbers are limited to 5000 entries. So when is it likely to fill up? Early entry discounts.
Fee Costs rise monthly to encourage early closure.
When do entries close?
Tough Guy® - One week before event
Nettle Warrior - One week before event

Am I a Tough Guy® Veteran?
If you ran Tough Guy® or Nettle Warrior in 2012,2013 you are classed as part of the Tough Guy® Squad.
What are the start times?
11:00ish Full Course
Front Squad at Cannon- Tough Guy Squad plus 30 seconds - 1000 Club Squad plus 50 seconds - Wobblemucker Squad plus 2 miutes - Wetneck Squad plus 5 minutes - Dickheads - Late Buggers and Ghoons Squad plus 10 minutes
Then 12km Start - 8km Start - 4km Start (Nettle Warrior Events)
Join Main Event at Timed Intervals.
Can I upgrade to a higher squad?
Yes you can choose to do this later - email hq@toughguy.co.uk for details on upgrades
Do I need to be able to swim?
No you can miss water obstacles
Marshals are on hand to guide you
Can I skip an obstacle?
Your choice, you must make Risk Assessment

Your choice 4km, 8km, 12km, 18km - Nettle Warrior
15km - Tough Guy®
